2020 Return to Contact Training

As of the 23rd of June, NSW Subbies, in line with NSW Department of Health advice, that within groups of 20, full contact training, with some conditions, is immediately allowed.

Further, the draw is finalised, and we can now focus on our return to contact rugby.

Training protocols around registering for training to maintain contact tracing, sanitising hands, and bringing water bottles will continue. Contact is limited to 15 minute sessions only and in groups of up to 20. Tackling, rucks, mauls, lineouts and scrums all allowed.

The strappers will be available from this week, from 17:45 until 18:30.

The physio will be available within a few weeks, for those under an injury management program. Pre-booking is required, and those getting physio to train will be seen between 17:45 and 18:30, to be available for training. Those who are not fit to train will be able to see the physio to check in and continue their rehab between 18:30 and 19:00.

It’s a short 7 week season, and given we are back to contact training from tomorrow, there’s never been a better time to dust off the boots. If you’re intending to come for a run, please contact the club via email , social dm’s (facebook, instagram), so we can look after you!

Yours in rugby,

DDRFC Committee
