Rugby is more than just a game; it’s a community built on the principles of mateship and fair play. But sometimes, the unpredictable nature of the sport can lead to life-changing injuries that affect players and their families forever. That’s where Hearts In Rugby Union steps in – a beacon of hope and support for those who have given their all to the sport we love.

Founded in 2007 by Rocky Mileto and his fellow rugby enthusiasts, Hearts in Rugby Union has been the pillar of support for injured players, affectionately known as “Wheelies”. The charity’s mission is simple yet profound: “Helping Rugby Help Its Own”. It’s a call to action for every member of the rugby community to come together and uplift those who have faced the unthinkable on the field.

The charity’s impact is immeasurable, providing not just financial aid but also a network of support that includes counseling, rehabilitation, and advocacy. With rugby legends like John Eales as Patron and ambassadors such as Simon Poidevin and Adam Freier, Hearts In Rugby Union is a testament to the strength and solidarity of the rugby family.

As we cheer on our games this weekend, our Invitational XV and Mayors XV will have their jerseys available for sale, with all proceeds going to this worthy charity.

They are available for purchase prior to the auction for $500, and the auction will be held after the 1st grade game concludes on the day.
